There are Two Armageddon Events in the Scriptures:
Before reading this topic, it might be helpful to understand more about events occurring before the first Armageddon Event by reading Tribulation Purpose, 70th Week of Daniel, Tribulation Period, Mark of the Beast, Antichrist, and Israel's Military Neutralized topics.
Many people are often frightened about reading about the Armageddon, where both events are to give God Glory and also rewards to all of us who are faithful. If you haven't asked Jesus Christ to be your Savior, do so now.
Armageddon, from the scriptural perspective, is when the world's armies attempt go to war against God. There are two scriptural Armageddon events and God eliminates the armies without a battle that gives Glory to God. |
There are three future battles that God will intervene. There are other periods in history where God this also, such as the Long Day of Joshua and when walls came down at Jericho as read in Joshua 5:13 through Joshua 6:27.
This is an excerpt from the "Gog
and Magog, and Three future Battles on Earth that God Intervenes"

Many Christians and non-Christians have all heard about Armageddon and believe the event is meant to be the most frightening military event in all of history because of fighting between different armies that include the 200,000,000 soldier army from the Kings of the East. The name Armageddon is from the name in Hebrew for the area pronounced like Armageddon that has Mount Megiddo near by and a large valley to enable the world's armies to assemble against one another, Revelation 16:16.
Revelation 16:16 | And they gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-Magedon. |
Some details of the Armageddon Event that occurs at the end of the Tribulation Period:
Revelation 19:19-21 him / beast is the Antichrist (black highlight and white letters. His image is the Abomination of Desolation) Him/His is Jesus Christ sitting on a white horse His army is God's Angels and the Redeemed as observers. |
19 And I saw
the
beast,
and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make
war against
Him
that sat
upon the horse, and against
His
army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast and them that worshipped his image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with brimstone: 21 and the rest were killed with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse, even the sword which came forth out of His mouth: and all the birds were filled with their flesh. |
All the participants, gathering at the Armageddon Event, are going because of the belief given by the Satanic Realm that their future is in jeopardy unless they go on the offensive to fight in the war. It is a deception, based on "signs and wonders", from the Satanic World as read in Revelation 16:14. Some Biblical Scholars, including this author, believe the deception is using a type of fear that has never been known before this time in Earth's history because of the events in Revelation 16:17-21.
Revelation 16:14 | for they are spirits of demons, working signs; which go forth unto the kings of the whole world, to gather them together unto the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. |
Revelation 20:7-10 The second event with even a larger number of armies. |
7 And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. |
After the second Armageddon Event is over, the next event is the Great White Thrown of Judgment followed by Eternity without evil in the "new Heaven and new Earth". Biblical Scholars sometimes disagree when the Judgment Seat of Christ occurs.
Some Biblical Scholars and this author, believe because of God's different Time Domains, that the Judgment Seat of Christ occurs in Earth's time domain after the Tribulation Period, but in Heaven before Eternity starts. The invitation only event called the Wedding Supper of the Lamb happens after the Judgment Seat of Christ in order for the Believing Over-Comers, that are in Heaven prior to the end of the Tribulation Period's end to rule with Jesus Christ during the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Everything in the Kingdom of God, which includes Heaven, Earth and the entire Universe will be burnt up and gone after the second Armageddon Event because:
When all the Fallen Angels, Demons, and human beings without Salvation are permanently sent to the Lake of Fire then the New Kingdom of God and New Heavens is permanently established where there will be:
for eternity. All of those who go to the Lake of Fire will not see the New Heavens and New Earth. All those with Salvation will not remember those going to the Lake of Fire as part of the twelve judgments against those going to the Lake of Fire (see point 12).
Revelation 21:1 | And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth are passed away; and the sea is no more. |
Revelation 21:5 | And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true. |
Note that the scriptures are full of double patterns where the two Armageddon Events are one of many. Biblical Scholars state that God purposely uses patterns in prophecy to teach and reveal Himself to us, and for our understanding of God's absolute control and sovereignty.
The participants at the first Armageddon Event are:
The most well-known introductory chapters concerning the events leading up to the Armageddon Event are Ezekiel Chapter 38 and Chapter 39 which is discussed in the Gog and Magog topic. The following scriptures, from the Book of Revelation, give us additional details of the Armageddon event.
Revelation 16:14 | for they are spirits of demons, working signs; which go forth unto the kings of the whole world, to gather them together unto the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. |
Revelation 16:16 | And they gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-Magedon. |
Revelation 19:21 | and the rest were killed with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, even the sword which came forth out of his mouth: and all the birds were filled with their flesh. |

The participants at the Second Armageddon Event are like the "sands of the sea". The scripture doesn't describe more about the participants other than:
Revelation 20:7-10 | 7 And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. |
