Step 1 of 3 - Acknowledging and Asking
Simply envision that you are kneeling before Jesus Christ in your mind and say this:
"Dear Jesus, I recognize you as my God and my Savior. I am a sinner and accept what you did on the Cross for payment of my sins and forever want to be with You in eternity. I know my sins of {list them if you feel the inclination and guidance}. Please come into my life. Amen."
Step 2 of 3 - Confessing from our Heart
After your prayer, take the time to read and understand Romans 10:9-15 as you have security eternal security in having Salvation. All of us will have times in our life that we will have confirmation of our Salvation by our profession verbally of Faith in Jesus Christ in casual and even formal conversations with other concerning God.
Romans 10:9-15 | 9 If
you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10
For it is with your heart that you believe and are
justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are
saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who
believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12
For there is no difference between Jew and
Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on
him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the
name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” |
The entire scriptures, Old and New Testament, are one book that has a wealth of information for you to empower your life and prepare for the rewards in Heaven. John 3:16-17 is one of most beautiful and well-known scriptures that you should commit to memory.
John 3:16-17 | 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. |
Step 3 of 3 - Repenting and Changing our Life
John 15:16 | You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. |
