A Saint in the Scriptures is a person that has Salvation is set apart.  It is a seal and marked for redemption in Eternity.

In some Christian Denominations, the term "saint" has taken on a meaning of special significance that somehow human beings can vote on Earth that a person that has died is entitled to have special rewards from God.  This is ludicrious as God is the only Judge as detailed in the two judgments called:

1. Judgment Seat of Christ, and
2. Great White Thrown of Judgment.
