As an example of conflicting beliefs on what is good:
For the Christian, the scriptures give us God's instructions on how we are to think and act define what is good. Almost the entirety of the scriptures give definitions, actions, and examples of what God expects, requires, and should be happening our lives that will give us peace and love in our lives now with rewards in Heaven.
Micah 6:8 | He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? |
Galatians 5:22-26 | 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. 26 Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another. |
In a summary statement, this topic will explore:
God exists outside of all of His Creations. God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit are in Perfect Unity and all things that exist were created by God.
2 Peter 1:3 | According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: |
Romans 11:36 | For of him, and through him, and unto him, are all things. To him be the glory for ever. Amen. |
Colossians 1:16-17 | 16 for in him (God) were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him; 17 and he is before all things, and in him all things consist. |
There is Evil on the Earth and the state of decay along with the theoretical science of Chaos shows that Evil exists. Since Evil exists, and it is not eliminated by God, then it will be used for God's purpose to give God Glory.
God's Angels and human-being who have Jesus Christ as their Savior will be part of God's Glory that is often called the Purpose of All History.
The following is an excerpt from the
Forbidden Tree topic: In Genesis 3:22, there is a point that this author has never seen in any Biblical Commentaries. The unseen point is very illuminating besides the traditional interpretations that are mentioned regarding verse 22 in Genesis 3 (shown below):
|
Most conservative Biblical Scholars, including this author will state:
When Eve believed the temptation of Lucifer speaking through the snake, and Adam not being tempted still ate the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, this caused all future human-beings to have a trait of sinful natures because of being completely in God's Will.
Some Christians will state that God created evil because of Isaiah 45:7, which is taking the scriptural verse out of context with the surrounding verses. Notice that God is directing his comments to "anointed Cyrus", where there is a manifest of details that:
Give Glory to God
Explain God's Full Dominion, and
That evil is allowed by God which shows God's plan and uses of evil as explained in verse 9.
Isaiah 45:1-10 | 1 Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; 2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: 3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. 4 For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. 5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else. 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. 8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the Lord have created it. 9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? 10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth? |
When the evil, that was started by Lucifer and the Fallen Angels, entered into the Earth before Genesis 1:1 and then later with the temptation and fall of Adam and Eve, then God used:
It is also interesting the study of Black Holes in outer-space, that some scientist have created mathematical models that describe Black Hole having the potential of being portals to other universes. This author first heard of this from lectures recorded in the 1960s where more a few recent theoretical studies have stated the Black Holes are closed, and may have been open at one time. From the Christian perspective, the idea of other universes is very interesting as the scriptures state that there are many dominions created by God, and one well-known PhD Christian speaker, from the 1970s, speculated that the portals in Black Holes are closed because of the rebellion of Lucifer and the Fallen Angels.
These three points have been sometimes falsely attributed to Albert Einstein. Whomever the author of the original points is a good starting point for the next section of this topic.
Notice in John 6:38-46 scriptural passage that Jesus Christ
John 6:38-46 | 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. 41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. 42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven? 43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. 46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. |
The following is an excerpt from the topic on
Suffering: For the Christian, God absolutely and uses 100% of suffering for His Purposes that we may not understand fully until after the Judgment Seat of Christ and Great White Thrown of Judgment.
The entire world recognizes that despite the ability for people to do good, that there are people that: start wars, commit murder, steel from others including their employer, commit adultery, abuse others, harm defenseless people, children and even animals, do not live up to commitments and and endless list of specific evils. It is interesting to hear those who oppose the thought of the existence of a Loving God, when they ask the question on "why is there suffering?" to somehow incorrectly prove that there cannot be a God. Because there is suffering and death in the world, then this is one of the primary reasons for many people to not believe or not think there is a God. The second statement by those do not believe in God is usually something to the effect of "if there is a God, then why doesn't He allow everyone into Heaven except for those like Adolph Hitler?" It is interesting to watch and hear from people, that are agnostics and atheists believe mankind is basically good. This, according to the scriptures, is not true.
From many Biblical Scholars perspectives, the fact that there is evil in the world actually proves indirectly that there is the possibility of a God. The proof is understanding that there are unknown reasons, with external influences, that somehow are able to change people to be evil and also evil people into good people. An example in the scriptures is someone like the Apostle Peter, who was a crude speaking unlearned fisherman, who became a very eloquent, dignified and gifted man after receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. |
There are three paramount points:
There are two incidents in the scriptures
Pigs cast out
> By Jesus Christ allowing the pigs to go to into the swine, showed those
that were present that the demons were real.
> To show us the reality and warning of demonic possession is real.
> The Demons needed permission to enter the swine
